The Power of Gratitude in the Workplace

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, but we don’t wait for the holiday season to show gratitude around the Aspire office. We know how important it is to focus on the positive aspects of our personal and professional lives. It’s easier to stay motivated to perform at our best when we think about what we’ve achieved in the past and how many big wins we have to look forward to as a team.

Being more grateful around the office is an ideal way to forge stronger connections with teammates. Just as we appreciate our own talents more when we actually slow down to think about what we’ve accomplished, we respect our colleagues’ skills on a deeper level when we focus on them. Simply by being more positive in these ways, we set ourselves up for major wins in the future.

There are many studies that tell us how much our mental strength and psychological health benefit from gratitude. It’s no surprise that this is the case. After all, spending more time on the positive side is bound to lift our spirits from day to day.

Two key practices help us in our quest to be more grateful: keeping journals and meditating. We take a few minutes to write down the best parts of each Aspire workday, including the things we learned and achieved. Quick meditation sessions allow us to slow down and focus on positives even during the busiest times.

We’re committed to being thankful throughout the year. Follow Aspire on Instagram to learn more about how we stay positive and grateful every day.
